How to Make the Utmost of an Hour

How to Use An Hour To Your Maximum Advantage? How many of you make a to-do list or timetable? It is very rare to find someone making it! We make to-do lists for different things and never end up looking at what we accomplish in an hour… But do you know how crucial it is to make a schedule? Let's understand why.

Why is it important to make a schedule?

Every person spends their day with a certain routine that they follow. As many of us are familiar with our routine, we can make a good timetable for ourselves. But many of you will say, “I know what I need to get done in a day.” Also, why do I need a schedule?” Planning helps in maximizing and prioritizing your important and urgent things on the list first. And as you get the important and urgent things done, your mind will be at ease and you can get better things done in the remaining period. Once we have made a timetable, it makes it easy to move on to the next thing as soon as we finish with one. But when we make a timetable, we make it for the whole day and don't focus on how we can make full use of an hour. So, now let's talk about how we can make complete use of an hour, especially in the morning.

AFFIRMATION:

Once you get up in the morning, freshen up. Start your day with a positive affirmation that helps in improving your mental, emotional, and physical health.Sit down, and write down “what you're grateful for.” This instantly brightens up your day as you have already started to build a positive mindset in the morning hours and this will lead you to cheer up your day as well as others. As you are starting your day with such gratitude, it helps you feel more positive emotions and relive good memories as you think about grateful things. It helps with adversity and also helps you build a strong bond.

MORNING DRINK:

Start your day with a Glass of Warm water Recipe: 1 Glass of warm water, ½ Fresh lemon, 1-2 Spoon of Honey. Pinch of turmeric.

EXCERCISE:

If you want to boost your positive energy, even more, it is very important to do some physical activity. Then it may start with 10 minutes and you can increase it in the future. Exercising helps with strong muscle strength and improves your endurance. And exercising gives a boost to your heart and lungs and eventually gives you more energy to tackle your daily chores.

SOCIAL MEDIA:

Now it's a good time to go online. Today's world is completely dependent on online platforms where we are connected with people through the internet. I am not suggesting you completely shut down surfing online, but you can dedicate a certain time period to it. As you can spend 15 minutes catching up on unread messages and checking important messages.

HOUSE CLEANING:

After awakening oneself, it is very necessary to awaken the place we are living in. And by that, I mean to say, dedicate these 20 minutes to finishing your daily house chores. Tidy up the space you're in as it is going to affect your mental health. If the place we are sitting in is neat and clean, eventually it is going to help us with clean and positive thoughts as well. Also, it’s a stress reliever.

NUTRITIOUS BREAKFAST:

Make yourself a nutritious and healthy breakfast. It will help you keep your appetite full, and eventually, your mood will be happy and your head will be clear of thoughts. A healthy breakfast leads to a positive mindset and mood, which will make you strong to tackle your day.

I hope you have read the blog this far. It completely depends on you whether you want to make complete use of an hour or waste your energy without being productive. The extra tip is to utilise the time as much as you can. By waking up early, you give yourself that extra time to let your body process that one hour. And get you ready for your long day.
If you utilise this one hour this way every day, it will help you boost your mental health. Eventually, you can add up meditation, going on a walk, reading for 10-30 min every day, or listening to music. Preparing yourself in that one hour is the best thing that you can do to become productive. You can include your goals for what you can accomplish in an hour, and at the end of the week, you can take a realistic approach to it, such as what needs to be changed and how you can accomplish it.

Doing this will help you and your mind to utilise your one hour in a productive manner. I am Dr. Manjunath, a mind performance coach and an expert in brain science.
